     So I listen to a wide variety of genres of music, and i have been playing drums for almost nine years now. The way i look at it, if you are trying to improve on a certain skill, you wouldnt repeat the same thing over and over again. Lately i have been listening to different styles of music with more "jazz-like" feel to them because jazz drummers have a very unique style of corresponding their beats with the melody. So hopefully, learning different styles of music will  help me improve my talent.
